AIANTA Tourism and Hospitality Scholarship

Amount: Up to $2,000

Deadline: July 15th, 2022

The American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA) is proud to sponsor the AIANTA Tourism and Hospitality Scholarship, which provides American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian students with financial assistance towards a degree or Certificate in hospitality, tourism, recreation, culinary arts or related fields. Funding will be applied during the Fall 2022 Semester.

AISES Apple Scholarship

Amount: $15,000

Deadline: May 31, 2022

AISES has partnered with Apple to offer the Apple Scholarship Program to exceptional Indigenous college students studying in a STEM field. Selected scholars will receive a $15,000 scholarship, a MacBook, and a Development Experience. Scholars will also have the opportunity to be mentored by an Apple employee. American Indian College Fund

Amount: Varies

Deadline: May 31, 2022

The American Indian College Fund determines student eligibility and awards the scholarships. All applicants are emailed an award or denial notice by August. Those applicants who are chosen to receive a scholarship will also receive a mailed notice to the address listed on their applications. Student Scholarships | American Indian College Fund

 

American Indian Services Scholarship

Amount: 1/2 Tuition

Deadline: July 1 for Fall--November 1 for Spring/Winter

Students enrolled in their undergraduate course of study who meet the one-quarter enrolled member of a Federally Recognized Native American Tribe are eligible to apply. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.25 for consideration. Scholarships | American Indian Services

 

Catching the Dream

Amount: Varies

Deadline: Summer Session: March 15--Fall Semester- April 30--Spring Semester- September 15

The scholarship assists Native American high school students with their college academic pursuits. All tribes and regions are welcome to apply. The AISES Internship Program

The AISES Internship Program provides students with applied work experience and an opportunity to explore career options. Placing students in 10-week summer positions with partner agencies, the program also promotes advanced study to the graduate level and assists students in developing professional networks. Must be an AISES member to apply. College Access Summer Associate VISTA- MCAN

Summer

8 or 10 weeks

Summer associates are AmeriCorps VISTA members who serve a summer term helping students pursue their postsecondary dreams. MCAN is helping promote summer associate opportunities for partners throughout the state. We will work with nonprofits and high schools to identify top candidates who could benefit from a summer of service while making a difference in their community. Ideal candidates are highly collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Courtyard by Marriott Petoskey Summer Internship

No Deadline

June 12, 2022-August 6, 2022

The internship is slated to begin on Sunday June 12, 2022 and conclude on Saturday August 6, 2022. This would allow for the greatest experience for the intern during a period of peak season operations. The internship is open to two (2) candidates. In the event of two (2) candidates that are accepted to the program the first candidate will be assigned the outline as written, the second candidate will be assigned the outline in reverse order.

Grant/Program Summer Intern — MCAN

15-20 hours per week

May-August 2022

Reporting to the strategy manager for community mobilization strategy, the grant/program intern will help manage and monitor the grant reporting timeline, including processing and communications for grants that are active and submitted into Survey Monkey Apply. In addition, the intern will support the collection of resources from Local College Access partners to include in our LCAN Resource Hub. The intern will also assist with in-person and virtual events and perform other support tasks as needed. Indigenous Internship Program at Fors Marsh Group

MI ECHO Scholarship Summer Intern — MCAN

20-30 hours per week

May through August 2022

MCAN’s MI ECHO Scholarship Program is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to help manage and sustain the scholarship program. The Michigan Equity, Courage, Hope and Opportunity Scholarship (MI ECHO) is a tuition-free pathway for students who worked in an essential industry during the COVID-19 pandemic and who are not eligible for federal financial aid to pursue an associate degree or certificate. It is designed to serve DACA recipients, Temporary Protected Status immigrants, Special Immigrant Juveniles, and other populations who are excluded from most traditional financial aid opportunities. This will be a hybrid position with some remote work and some in-person work at our Lansing office. Strategic Engagement Summer Intern — MCAN

May-August 2022

20-30 hours per week

Under the supervision of the director of strategic engagement, the strategic engagement intern will support MCAN’s communication efforts across all departments. The incoming intern must be passionate about promoting the organization's mission of educational equity for low-income students, students of color, and first generation college-going students. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, self-motivated, technically-capable, detail-oriented, and has the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Applicants must have strong writing and editing skills. This internship is an in-person position at MCAN’s office in Lansing, but a hybrid option is available for an intern living outside of the greater Lansing region.
