A message from Lifetouch regarding school picture day: Under the current circumstances of the continuing COVID19 surge and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the difficult business decision to postpone your December 14, 2020 Picture Day until after the holidays in January, 2021. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience for you, your school, students and families. We know Picture Day is important to you and your families and we value our partnership as your school picture company. When we resume photography, we will continue to follow strict health and safety protocols because the health and safety of our customers and our employees is our highest priority. Boozhoo! Join us for a fun evening of BINGO and prizes! This event will be brought to you live on ZOOM and will be held on Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00pm. You can pick up your BINGO supplies from SCA on Monday, December 14th starting at 12:00pm until supplies are gone. We hope to see you there!

Boozhoo. Just a reminder that SCA offers FREE lunch and breakfast deliveries to our students on days they learn from home. We are also able to provide meals for any child (ages 0-18) in the home as well. If you would like to sign your household up for meal delivery, please complete the form at https://forms.gle/vbuQTmu3Ab4xX5PA9. Mino Gizhep! Tomorrow is picture day at SCA for Group B and At Home learners. Pictures will be taken in the SCA cafeteria between 9:00am-12:00pm. Aanii! The Greater Lansing Food Bank is providing a Drive-Through Mobile Food Distribution tomorrow in the Black Elk parking lot. Registration begins at 10:00 and food will be distributed from 11:00-1:00 (or until all food is distributed). Please see attached link for more details. Boozhoo. The end of the first marking period is just 2 weeks away (October 30). The school year is really flying by! Please make sure to check your student's Google Classroom or contact their teacher to see if they have any missing assignments that need to be turned in. Boozhoo. The water issue at SCA has been resolved. Regular in person classes can resume on Monday, October 12 . Miigwetch.

Due to a water main break, the SCA building is closed for the remainder of the week, and no staff or students can be onsite. Group B students will be contacted by their teacher to receive information on how they can stay academically engaged and learn remotely. Once the school can reopen you will be informed. Miigwetch.

Students and families who need support with managing zoom meetings, Google classroom and/or any other aspect of remote learning are invited to come with phones, laptops, Chromebooks, etc. to receive technical support from SCA teachers and K-12 staff next Thursday, October 1st. See flyer for details.
